Galoup looks back on his life as a team leader in the Foreign Legion when he was stationed in the Tajoura Bay in Djibouti. When the new recruit Sentain arrived, it aroused a strange jealousy in Galoup, which would change both their lives.
With Beau travail, Claire Denis solidified her directing career, when the film was critically acclaimed when it came out, and has been described as one of the best of the 90's.
