World War II is raging and 12-year-old Julien must reluctantly return to his catholic boarding school. But the new boy in his class carry a deep secret, and slowly but surely Julien's interest is roused. It is the start of a new friendship. Louis Malle's Goodbye, Children is a self-biographical story of connections that transcend borders when necessary. The movie won the Golden Lion in Venice and was nominated for an Oscar as Best Foreign Film.
