Cross of Iron

132 minutes 1977 7.4

A new battalion commander arrives from the western to the eastern front during the German withdrawal to replace an officer who has died in combat. Commander Stransky has never before faced the horrors of war, but is determined to win himself some honor before returning home. He wants an iron cross, and his ruthless pursuit of the coveted medal of bravery forms the backdrop for this gripping story.

The Iron Cross is the only war film directed by master director Sam Peckinpah. Peckinpah gives us a fascinating and violent story about men at war and does so with the same excitement and style as in the classics ‘The Wild Bunch’, ‘Straw Dogs’ and ‘The Getaway’.

The film is not playable outside of Norway
