Malou's Christmas

Malou is a lonely and rebellious teenager placed in foster care with a new family on the little island of Lunø. The small family love Christmas, but Malou hates both Christmas and the little island. When she encounters the tiny, cranky hobgoblin Nils who wants everything to stay the same, they both work to get Malou off the island. They take a hobgoblin-vow, which entails that Malou must get herself in so much trouble that the family rejects her. Christmas joy is hanging by a thread, but things soon take a different turn for Malou.
