Liv and Ingmar is the love story about the relationship between the legendary Norwegian actor Liv Ullmann and the Swedes' own master director Ingmar Bergman. We hear Ullmann talk about her hatred and love relationship with the world-renowned director, and see how the tension between them contributed to the films they made together. The film deals with a 42-year-and-12-film-long relationship between the two.
The documentary is a tribute, both affectionate and true, to two people who experienced the full range of emotions together. They survived extraordinary times and gave us strong creations of all time, great evidence of their passion for one another both on and off the movie screen.
