Mansour is a gay Iranian refugee and pharmacist; he has lived in Oslo for 18 years. Now he wants to return to Istanbul, where he lived for two years before he was granted asylum in Norway.

Gender Me is a road movie about Mansour's journey into the world of Islam. It is a personal journey in a world full of taboos and conflicting images. He explores the issue of faith and gender in Islam and tries to find the unusual story of gay Muslims.
