The soldier Franz Woyzeck I feels helpless after getting his mistress Marie pregnant. In order to scrape together some extra money in an attempt to provide for them, he ends up as a guinea pig with a strange doctor. He is put on a whimsical diet that almost drives him crazy, while Marie begins an affair that worsens the situation even further.

Woyzeck is Werner Herzog's interpretation of Georg Büchner's unfinished play of the same name, with Klaus Kinski in a classic lead role.

The film is not playable outside of Norway
