Everyone in Paula's family is deaf, except her. This means that the family is extra strongly linked together and everyone relies on her help, both at home, on the farm they live on and at the market where they sell the goods they produce. One day Gabriel enters her life and she falls head over heels. So when Gabriel starts in the school choir, Paula signs up too. It turns out, to everyone's surprise, that Paula has an amazing voice! With the help of her music teacher, she begins intensive training to take part in a prestigious singing competition in Paris. And as she practices, her passion for singing grows.
