For Thomas, life has always been something that is best avoided. His wife Esther has been conducting the family orchestra, but when everyday life is turned upside down, the distracted Thomas has to take over the baton. As a family man and husband, Thomas has to keep his composure, pick up his daughters and maneuver around what for everyone else is just a normal busy day. In the rearview mirror, Thomas relives the day when he met Esther for the first time. Two fateful days intertwine: Both imperfect, unpredictable and beautiful in their very own way. In these two days, Thomas is confronted with time, love and death – three things no one can prevent.
