Radioactive takes us on a journey from the 1870s to modern times and tells about the lasting legacy of Marie Curie - her passionate relationship, scientific breakthroughs and the significance of it for her and for the world. She meets the scientist Pierre Curie, and the two marry and change science forever with their discovery of radioactivity. The Curie couple's ingenious discovery changed the world, and the awarding of the Nobel Prize threw the devoted couple into the international spotlight.
