Gregory's Girl

91 minutes 1980 7.1

Gregory lives in a small Scottish town. He loves football, but his team never advances. When the coach holds open enrollment, Dorothy auditions. When she proves to be better than all the other guys on the team, she replaces Gregory as the striker. Gregory doesn't mind because he has suddenly fallen in love. What could be a problem is that the rest of the team seems to be too.

Gregory's Girl is Bill Forsyth's BAFTA-winning coming-of-age story about teenage love, anxiety and football.
