Girl Asleep

77 minutes 2015 6.1

Fifteen becomes a turning point. It has to be. The world is closing in on Greta Driscoll. She is on the cusp of turning fifteen and cannot bear the thought of leaving her childhood. It consists of all the things that give her comfort in this new incomprehensible world. She floats around in a bubble of "bravery" with her only friend Elliott, until her parents organize a surprise party to celebrate her 15th birthday. She is thrown into a parallel universe; a world that is strangely erotic, a bit violent and transversely comical - only there can she find herself.

Based on the critically acclaimed production by Windmill Theater, Girl Asleep is a journey into the absurd, scary, and beautiful heart of a teenager's mind.
