Sami Blood is declaration of love to those who left and those who stayed…

Elle Marja, a young Sami girl from a reindeer herding home, is exposed to the racism of the 1930s with forced colts and racial biological examinations, and finally chooses to escape from her Sami boarding school and "become Swedish". But in the struggle to gain status and become a real Swede, she is forced to break ties with her family and deny the culture in which she has grown up.
