Catherine and Matthew move with their two teenage children Lily and Tom to the remote desert town of Nathgari. The family does not thrive, and Tom tends to take night walks. One day Lily follows him and the next day they disappear. In the search for their children, Catherine and Matthew must be confronted with several unpleasant truths that drive their relationship to the breaking point.
