When the news of Princess Diana's death reaches a shocked and disbelieving British people, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II withdraws with her family, unable to understand the public's reaction to the tragedy. For Tony Blair, the popular and newly elected Prime Minister, the people's need for comfort and support from the nation's leaders is obvious. As the flow of emotions only increases, in a way that is unparalleled, Blair must invent something to reunite the Queen with the British people.
