A look at the bittersweet simplicity of life. We follow a boy and a girl from childhood to old age set in playgrounds in Singapore. "Playgrounds" is a part of Timescapes - a collection first shown as an anthologyfilm in August 2018 at the Seoul International Animated Film Festival, with six animated short films about life, love and the old and current landscapes of Singapore. With practically no dialogue, each film is accompanied by specially designed music and has an intent to show how our living landscapes and surroundings are intertwined with our memories and fantasy. The story is based on Singapore's past stretching over 80 years.
