Erhu is the last of the short animated films produced for the Chinese New Year of 2019, commissioned for the Singapore-river Hongbao. It is part of TIMESCAPES - a collection first shown as an anthology in August 2018 at the Seoul International Animated Film Festival, with six animated short films about life, love and the landscapes of Singapore in the past and present. With practically no dialogue, each film is accompanied by a musical piece with the intent of showing how our live landscapes and surroundings are intertwined with our memories and fantasy. Stories based on Singapore's past and stretching over 80 years.
