Little Red Bricks

14 minutes 2018

An innocent friendship that blossomed between the bookshelves in the old National Library, and grew into a love story who would find its way decades later by someone chasing memories between little red bricks. "Little Red Bricks" is part of TIMESCAPES - a collection first shown as an anthology in August 2018 at the Seoul International Animated Film Festival., with 6 animated short films about life, love and the landscapes in Singapore in the past and the present. With practically no dialogue, each film is accompanied by a musical score with the goal to show how our living landscapes are intertwined with our memories and imagination. The stories are based on Singapore's past stretching over 80 years.
