Petra von Kant is a prominent fashion designer. Her first husband died in a car accident. The next she left in disgust. However, she does not live alone, but has a sadomasochistic relationship with her assistant, who also lives with her. When Petra is introduced to young Karin, completely new feelings are awakened, in a dramatic love triangle.
