After graduating from Yale, Samuel, a handsome young man, takes a job at an apple farm in Oregon to try out for a regular job among ordinary people. When he gets there, he totally fails to get into the community and he gets both his lifestyle and side ideas about life put to the test in every meeting with the guest workers or with the city's deeply religious population. Samuel must dare to throw himself into the unknown and on the way experience both uncomfortable and very humorous situations.
