1950s Moscow. During the darkness of the Cold War, communist Katya lives a double life as a spy for the Americans. But when she gets her most important assignment to date - stealing state secrets from the young career politician Alexander - she commits the biggest mistake of her life. She falls in love with him. Taken between her life-threatening job as a spy and her passion for Alexander, she is forced to make a fateful choice, which is only revealed 40 years later.

The film is written and directed by Shamim Sarif, and is based on her own best-selling book.
