When Roland goes to prison, the 17-year-old son Kimmie must reluctantly follow in his father's footsteps to support the family with two younger siblings and a disabled mother. They live in a small Swedish industrial town characterized by emigration and unemployment. During the last days with Roland present, Kimmie will be locked into the harsh, criminal organization that surrounds them. At the same time, he is offered an apprenticeship in another city, with the opportunity for a permanent job and future prospects. But who will take care of the family if he travels?
Goliat is a film with driving excitement and raw realism, but also a touching story about family ties and the impossible choice Kimmie is faced with.
