Collien Lassie and 12-year-old Florian are inseparable. After Florian's father loses his job, they have to move to a small apartment where they can not have a dog. Florian has to give up Lassie to Herr von Sprengel, who promises to take care of Lassie. But one of Von Sprengel's employees is mean to Lassie, so the dog escapes to find its rightful owner.
