In this film, we do not meet Santa Claus, but house elves from old folklore who protect and help others. The gnomes have lived a hidden life underground for many years, but now the little house gnome girl Elfrid has decided that she wants to see what else life has to offer.

Together with their two friends, the house-elf boys Kipp and Bo, they climb up to the surface of the earth for new discoveries. Many fun experiences and adventures await here. Elfrid becomes good friends with the usually grumpy baker Theo, which reminds the house elves of their true purpose in life: to help others!
