In the far north of Greenland, 12-year-old Lucia lives with her mother and father (who is best known as Santa Claus). Lucia is the first girl ever to attend the Santa class at the International Christmas School. Everyone is gathered to witness the Christmas gift machine being started to produce this year's presents, but it does not work. Lucia's best friend, Oscar, is accused of stealing King Winter's magical crystal, which fuels the machine. Lucia is convinced that Oscar is innocent and determined to fight injustice, she and Oscar escape to find the real thief.
