The Holy Mountain
In a world of corruption and greed, a mysterious man wakes up in the desert. The man, strikingly similar to Jesus, goes to the city to find a livelihood and above all gold. The journey takes him further up in a tower where he meets an alchemist, who claims to have what the man is looking for. Together with seven strange companions, they travel to the sacred mountain where the alchemist promised a higher stage of existence.
The Holy Mountain is Jodorowsky's magnum opus, a surrealistic account of esotericism, mysticism and religious symbols.
