School of Life
Paris, 1930. Paul is sent from the frugal orphanage in Paris' working-class neighborhood to live in the country with the cheerful Célestine and her quiet-speaking forest ranger-husband on the Count of Fresnaye's large estate.
When Paul is out on a voyage of discovery, he meets Totoche, a friendly poacher who teaches him all about the secrets of the wild forest. Paul soon begins his apprenticeship as a mushroom hunter, fisherman and poacher, and it gradually dawns on him that it was no coincidence that he ended up in this unknown place.
