Thomas was once described as a young tennis talent, but he never got the tennis career he hoped for. At 37 years old, he decides to return to the French Open at Rolland Garros, despite a declining form and a broken knee. Although his wife, Eve, and his mother, Judith, advise him to give up the impossible ambition, Thomas perseveres. He has to deal with his own demons as well as the fierce competition in the qualifying rounds to reach the tournament and finally meet a young tennis talent who reminds him of his younger self.
