Chris (Liam Hemsworth) is rejected by the police academy and has to settle for the job as a security guard at the money transport company Empire State Armored Truck Company. But when he discovers a weakness in security and misses out on his best friend Eddie, he is drawn into a cunning robbery that becomes the biggest cash crane in American history. Soon, the two face NYPD investigator James Ransone (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson) and the mafia that controls the area.
