Margin Call

106 minutes 2011 7.1

The last day before the global financial crisis in the fall of 2008 was a fact, put powerful bankers in their high offices on Wall Street and planned history's biggest betrayal against investors and individuals who trusted them. In hindsight, this is considered to be the worst 24 hours in the history of the world economy. After the bankers realize that an economic collapse is inevitable, they work diligently to secure their own profits before the stock exchange opens the next morning on everything at the bank customer's expense.

The film is inspired by real events that the world should have seen undone.
