Slumdog Millionaire is the moving and captivating story of 18-year-old orphan Jamal Malik, who grew up in the slums of Mumbai. Jamal is facing the biggest day of his life when he participates in the Indian edition of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire". He's just a matter of winning 20 million rupees, and has to meet in the studio the next day to answer the last question. But outside the studios, police are waiting to suspect him of cheating. For how can a poor boy from the slums know all that? With this, Jamal rolls up his life story, and each chapter in his story provides the answer to how Jamal, quite frankly, has acquired the key to the answers.
