The same night that the teenage girl Cameron Post goes to the graduation ball with her type, she is caught red-handed while cuddling with a girl from the Bible group. The year is 1993, and in the conservative little Montana town she lives in, such sexual excesses are not allowed. Her family is furious and sends her straight to God's Promise, a remote conversion camp that claims to be able to convert gays to a healthy Christian sexuality. Together with a motley group of young people who all share the same "sin", but have different opinions on how to deal with it, she must find the courage to dare to be herself.
