Seven minutes past midnight, twelve-year-old Conor wakes up when a monster stands outside his window and shouts at him. But this is not the monster Conor has seen in his nightmares, the nightmares he's had every night since his mother began treatment at the hospital. The monster in the garden is different. It's ancient. And wild. It has three stories to tell Conor. But it will also have something terrible and scary in exchange. It wants the truth.
