World War II is just over, and Wilson, an American investigator of war crimes, is looking for a certain Franz Kindler, played by Orson Welles.
With his unusual narrative form and inventive use of a number of different tools, Welles already created a masterpiece with his debut film Citizen Kane, and he has since always had a special place in film history.
