Turin 1969. Nine-year-old Massimo's idyllic childhood falls apart when his beloved mother mysteriously passes away. He refuses to accept the loss. The years go by, and Massimo becomes a successful journalist. But after reporting from the war in the Balkans, Massimo struggles with constant panic attacks, and when it's time to sell the childhood home, he is forced to return and confront the memories once and for all.
