Teenager Jill lives with her unstable mother and has taken on the adult role far too soon to be able to take care of herself and her little brother. When the father announces one of his rare visits, great joy and anticipation arises. But the little family is hit by a tragedy and in shock over what has happened, Jill keeps it hidden.
