Anja lives with her partner Tomas in a large family with joint children and stepchildren. On Little Christmas Eve, she receives an incurable diagnosis. Alone with grief and fear, Anja acknowledges the need for Thomas' full help and support. During a Christmas week, the couple is thrown into a crash course in mutual trust and a common struggle to cope with an unexpected diagnosis. In this crisis, can they learn to love each other again after a long life together?
