A historical drama based on the popular book The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society.
London, 1946. The charismatic author Juliet receives a letter from a member of a mysterious book club started on the Nazi-occupied island of Guernsey in the English Channel. Curious about who is behind the letter, she decides to visit the island. Here she meets the wonderful eccentric members of the Guernsey Society for Literature and Potato Peel Pie, including Dawsey, the somewhat mysterious but fascinating man who wrote the letter. As secrets from the war are revealed, Juliet becomes even more attached to the island, the book club and Dawsey, which will change her life forever.
