Naomi Watts plays Princess Diana in a biographical drama about the last period of her life, her world-renowned divorce and the secret relationship of a surgeon who has subsequently been called the great love of her life.

The film is a compelling portrait of the world-renowned deceased Diana, the Princess of Wales, shown through the last two years of her life. Diana tells the story of how, through seeking real and personal joy in life, she achieved a position as an internationally recognized leader in humanitarian work.

The film also tells the story of the princess's difficult divorce from Charles, Prince of Wales, and the subsequent secret relationship with respected heart surgeon Hasnat Kahn.

Diana is directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel, the man behind the Oscar-nominated masterpiece "Der Untergang". In addition to two Oscar-nominated Naomi Watts, we find Douglas Hodge, Juliet Stevenson and Geraldine James on the cast.
