"Betrayal has been cut and upgraded. Now it appears as one of the few Norwegian films that nuances the image of Norwegians in war." - NRK P2

A suspense film against a backdrop of real events. In retrospect, Eva Karlsen ("The Mamas and The Papas" star Michelle Phillips) tells her Norwegian war story. It's late summer 1943, the war is about to turn around and it's time for repositioning. At the "Club Havana" nightclub in Oslo, Norwegian businessmen and war professors join forces with German SS officers and beautiful, adventurous Norwegian women.

Nightclub singer Eva Karlsen (Lene Nystrøm) engages both opponents and German black exchange traders, and hides more than the occupation power and war profiteers are aware of. Together with German Gestapo boss Krüger and Club Havana's proprietor, Nazi Tor Lindblom, she is swirled into a world where she puts her and others' lives at risk ...
