After a visit to the local power plant, landfill worker Jerry (Jack Black) is accidentally 'magnetized' and then unknowingly deletes all the movies in the video store where his friend Mike (Mos Def) works. Good advice is expensive, but in order not to disappoint the loyal customers, the two friends decide to recreate all the films - of course by making their own - quite quirky - versions!
