The couple Gracie (Julianne Moore) and Joe (Charles Melton) started a scandalous affair when Joe was only 13 years old. We meet up with them 20 years later, where they live a seemingly perfect suburban life and are about to send their kids off to college. Hollywood wants to make a movie about the controversial romance and famous actress Elizabeth (Natalie Portman) is visiting the family to be able to do some research for the role of Gracie. Her presence and their conversations provoke the ghosts of the past and especially Joe begins to see history in a new light. May December is an intense psychological drama instructed by Todd Haynes, known also for the film Carol.
