Carlin (Ray Winstone) ends up in juvenile jail after pleading guilty to his brother's scrap metal theft. Life in prison is hard because of the brutality of the guards and the other inmates, who constantly threaten Carlin. But he decides to take control of the situation and uses violence to increase his status and gain respect.
