An encounter with one of the world's foremost and most legendary jazz singers, and the contrasts in her short, turbulent life. The film is told through one of her biggest fans, Linda Lipnack Kuehl, who in 1971 began work on a comprehensive biography of Holiday. Over a period of eight years, she did over 200 hours of interviews with those who knew her best - Charles Mingus, Tony Bennett, Sylvia Syms and Count Basie among others. Kuehl's book was never finished, but this documentary is based on these recordings. They are what no one has heard, until now. You will also see newly restored concert clips, which are shown in color for the very first time.

The film is not playable outside of Norway
