Creating Woodstock

111 minutes 2019 7.7

When more than 400,000 people gathered in Woodstock to experience "three days of peace and music" in August 1969, few could imagine that the festival would eventually be seen as the grand finale of an era. Or who thought of the great work done by a rather small gang of inexperienced but competent enthusiasts who were behind this monumental event.

These are in the centre of the documentary by Mick Richards. With interview and research material collected over several decades, we get to know John Roberts, Joel Rosenman, Michael Lang, Artie Kornfeld and others who fought to create their generation's biggest music festival.
