Peterloo

154 minutes 2018 6.5

The film depicts on a wide canvas the events surrounding the infamous Peterloo massacre of 1819, where a peaceful march of electoral reform at St. Peter's Field in Manchester ended in one of the bloodiest and most notorious crimes of British history.

British government forces attacked a crowd of over 60,000 who had gathered to demand political reform and protest against rising poverty. Hundreds of protesters were injured, and many were killed in this massacre, triggering a panic scare across the country, but also continued state repression.

The film is not playable outside of Norway
