London Road deals with a series of incidents in 2006 when the quiet and rural town of Ipswich suddenly comes into the spotlight following the discovery of five dead women's bodies. Until then, residents of London Road had struggled to combat prostitution and misery in their neighborhood. But when one of their neighbors in the street is accused and convicted of the murders, it is as if all the good work has been in vain.
Rufus Norris is known as an experienced theater director before moving to directing films in 2012. After great success as a filmmaker, Norris has made the film version of the critically acclaimed stage musical London Road, which he directed in 2011.
