The Ides of March is a story of sex, ambition, loyalty, betrayal, and revenge.

In the center of it all is young press secretary Stephen Meyers. Stephen experience being the victim in a power struggle, played out in the dark backdrop of politics, filled with elaborate manipulations and false allusions.

George Clooney plays Governor Morris, presidential candidate for the US Democrats. Ryan Gosling plays his press spokesman Meyers. Paul Giamatti (Sideways) is the campaign manager for one of Morris's biggest opponents, while Marisa Tomei is Ida Horowicz, New York Times reporter.
