The Ghost Writer is a thriller, with Ewan McGregor, Pierce Brosnan and Kim Cattrall, from Oscar-winning director Roman Polanski, the man behind “The Pianist”, “Chinatown” and “Rosemary's Baby.” The film received strong reviews.
A successful British writer, a so-called "ghostwriter" who writes in the name of others, is asked to take over the memoirs of former Prime Minister Adam Lang. The writer's own agent is confident about it and recommends the job, such a chance does not often present itself. But it will become clearer to “the ghost” that the project is doomed from the start. Especially when the predecessor, the first writer on the book, is found dead under mysterious circumstances. It is beginning to dawn on anyone and everyone what lies ahead - that truth can be rewritten.
