The history and passion behind the Eiffel Tower, which was built for the World Exhibition in Paris in 1889. The Eiffel Tower still stands today as one of the world's most famous landmarks.
Having just completed his collaboration in the construction of the Statue of Liberty, the engineer Gustave Eiffel is at the top of the world in his field. That is why he is now suddenly sought out by the pressure of the French government to design something spectacular for the opening of the Paris World Fair 1889. Eiffel himself would much rather take care of the design of the Metro. But everything changes when Eiffel meets a mysterious woman he knows from his past. Because of their forbidden love, Eiffel is inspired to take on the task and change world history at the same time.
With this film, the director Martin Bourboulon has managed to create an incredibly beautiful and aesthetic display of one of history's most famous constructions. Here he weaves together a historical event and romance seamlessly in a beautiful story that oozes French culture.
Eiffel is a grand costume drama with romance, drama and extravagant special effects with opulence in decor and beautiful clothes. The film is an exciting depiction of the ingenuity and stubbornness behind the construction of the Eiffel Tower.
